Pawnee's travianbot is a great tool. To make it even better we are looking for developers and travian geeks.
Important: You don't have to be a guru in software engineering but you need to know at least the basic stuff. So if you modded the travianbot to fit your own needs or just understand the travianbot code, then your are the right person. If you very interesting in bringing the bot forward and you have your brain full of ideas you but you have no clue what ruby or any other programming language is you can join the dev team as tester.
I don't wanna say to much what we wanna do to improve the bot but I can promise that it will be much better than the existing bot. The bot well fit for every need. We going to use Ruby to write the new bot. That's almost all I can say.
I'am sure it will be a lot of fun. So if you wanna join us write me a mail with a short introduction of you.

I have looked through the code of your Bot and I also skimmed over the AutoBot that someone else made using your original code. I think I understand most of it, and with your headings for each section of the code it makes it alot easier to understand. I would like to help you with the Bot development. I have a good knowledge of Visual Basic as well as HTML and Javascript if help is needed with websites or something. http://gamecityonline.tk is my website if you wish to have a look at my skills lol. I can hack games...if thats any help..with the use of Cheat Engine and I have extensive knowledge on doing that. I will also have a go at anything if you want...so just ask :D
Hi I used ur Bot it is very good I made some changes u should know 1st I am using it on 6 defrent servers and each server has 2 nick names So 6 servers each has 2 nick that need alot of typing or alot of files So I made some changes for ur Bot here I go: 1. a .bat file run the bot not a command. 2. the server name is writen in the bot file. 3. I have an internet cafe so I know that password should not be shown so the password is now inside the travian.rb ( all the password in the 12 users are trhe same ). 4. the log files now in an another dir in the main dir so they wouldn't take alot of place. 5. the log file's are great I think in time there would be a way to let the bot build all the resouces by it self with out u even looking what it's done and with in 5 days u would have ur resources get to a certen level So I made a simple change to the log so now I can see what the bot build in one line. 6. the bot file didn't look so well so I made it in a shourtcut and I think u know that u can make the shourtcut open everytime in the same place so now I have 12 users placed infront of me and I know what they are doing. 7. I added something else I think it is important a "puts" there is a line under "Not enough resources for buildID ..." and it give me a list of all that I asked him to built so I would know if I need to add things to build or he is doing fine. Something need changes: 1. as I said I have 2 users on each server so there should be a merchant between them and ur bot need to refresh in a serten time to see if the resources changed ( this could make a big loud on the internet ) I tryed to changed it but the change was very bad so I unchanged that. 2. the program sould try to see make a test to see which of the resources buildings that I asked him to do can be built and build it and not wait or the Bot would wait for the building that need lesser time. After all this I am an Excel user I made a program that would bring data from the travian web page and in the web page I can know what I can build now with a click and even it would help me with ur Bot. this is my 1st time I used rudy I am a goog searcher for help and good learner and mostly when it need alot of thinking. Ive make and improvement to your code, ive running your bot 24/7, but i cant stop that bot if im at home coz i put it at other computer at my office so the bot is keep build all the build queue list 1. I clear the cookies when it cant authorize << this is to stop the bot to build , so if im planning to stop buildqueue from the bot iv change the password, and the bot cant authorize. and when i want to sleep i change the password as ussual so the bot will be able to build the queue 2. i make invinite loop with while true condition as a main code 3. add rescue and retry so the bot will keep running even if theres some wrong parameter
i was looking for a travian bot which don't need to have a program running on the local pc 24/7, but there ist no one, therefore i made one in php myself, it uses regexps to extract the inforamtion out of the travian pages an then does a POST/GET, just like your bot. But the Problem is that my server has only one IP-Addr, so it's easy for the Travian Crew to block it... While thinking about this problem, one of my ideas was a distributed bot, you know? only some computers have to be running to work for much players :-) The problem here is much work, so i need somebody to work with me........please mail :-)
